CAREER SUMMARY
- He is employed full time as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist at the University of Liverpool and shares his time equally between providing a clinical service and acting as a tutor to the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme. He works with patients presenting with complex severely endured mental health difficulties. His duties include providing psychological assessments and treatment for patients referred to the psychology service.
- His PhD focused on psychological aspects of chronic pain, particularly with regards to assessment and treatment outcomes. He has also completed postgraduate Diplomas in CBT and CAT. His clinical interests include: chronic pain, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and cognitive therapy.
- He currently supervises D.Clin. Psychol research projects, particularly in the area of pain, non epileptic attack disorder and somatisation. He also prepares approximately 50 medico legal reports per year. Areas of speciality include: the assessment of psychological injury, the psychological assessment of chronic pain and the assessment of post traumatic stress disorder.
